Study examined the use of Internet among students of Baptist Theological seminary Ogbomoso, Nigeria. The research design was the descriptive survey type. The instrument of data collection was the questionnaire. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select 300 out of a total population of 500 students. Copies of questionnaire were administered to them out of which 184 responded. The response rate was 61.3 percent. Data was analyzed through percentages and tables using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS). The study revealed that there was a very low level of Internet use among the students. The study also found that the seminary library did not have Internet connectivity and majority of the students depended on commercial cybercafes for the use of the Internet. It is therefore recommended that Internet workshop and training should be organized for students and that seminary library should be connected to the Internet so that students could access and use of the Internet.

Open access is the movement gaining momentum throughout the globe. OA Journals and OA Archives are the two major vehicles of Open Access. To have greater access and visibility to the scholarly publication, one solution is Self Archiving. It is achieved in three ways; by putting the published article on personal websites, by archiving it on institutional repository or by archiving it in open archives. In this paper, a study has been carried out to trace the self archiving policies of Geology journals. Total 110 journals in the subject category of Geology and Geosciences and other Multidisciplinary journals indexed by Science Citation Index were selected and Sherpa Romeo database was taken to trace the copyright policies of the publishers of these journals. The study reveals that maximum publishers are under Green category and allow self archiving.

Information Seeking is the process or activity of attempting to obtain information in both human and technological contexts. Information seeking is related to, but yet different from, information retrieval (IR). Much library and information science research is focused on the information seeking practices of practitioners in various fields of professional work. Studies have been carried out on the information seeking behaviour of librarians, academics, medical professionals, engineers and lawyers. Much of this research has been drawn on the work done by Leckw, Petttigrew and Sylvain, who in 1996 conducted an extensive review of the library and information science literature on information seeking behavior of professionals. Some experts report on a study concerned with understanding people's adaptation to new information searching environments. The experts have investigated how people with varying degrees of familiarity with information retrieval systems and varying models of information retrieval processes, interacted in an information retrieval system which did not support exact match retrieval with structured queries, but which did support best match ranked output retrieval with unstructured queries and automatic relevance feedback. The results include a classification of normal information retrieval strategies, the description of several adaptation strategies and the relationships between type and strength of people's mental models of information retrieval and their searching behaviours in the new information retrieval context.

Purpose of this article is to examine the current state of four oldest general university libraries in Kerala. The study consisted of in-depth interview with four university librarians. The paper explores resources, services, infrastructures, funding, hours of opening, staffing, and library resource sharing. The study revealed that the university libraries in Kerala are hybrid type of libraries having dominance of print resources. The major share of electronic resources comes from UGC Infonet e-journal consortium. Though the individual performance of libraries in some areas reflects the mission of the university, they are not directed to the ultimate function of supporting teaching and research in the parent organization by supplying high quality material through advanced forms of information services. Problems hindering the development and progress of these libraries have also been identified and discussed.
