Study deals about the bibliometric analysis of 221 papers of LIBRI Journals during the year 2001 to 2009. The study focuses on various aspects of LIBRI journal such as its year-wise distribution of papers, authorship pattern, subjectwise distribution of papers, geographical distribution, citation pattern and length of papers. The study shows that out of 221 papers single authors contributed 124 (56.10%) articles while rest of 97 (43.90%) were contributed by joint authors. Subjectwise distribution is maximum (37%) in the field of Public/Digital/Academic Libraries. India ranks at 11th position with 4 publications which shows its lower share in this journal. The average number of citation per article and the mean page length of all the papers during the year 2001 to 2009 are found 2.004 and 11.10 respectively. All the studies will be helpful for its further development.

Recent surge in India's scientific output, and the publication-driven authors' careers have together eroded the focus on ethical conduct in scientific practices. Consequently, there has been a significant rise in allegations of misconduct and retractions of papers from India. According to the US Office of Research Integrity (ORI), scientific misconduct essentially includes `fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in proposing, conducting, or reporting research'. Unlike develoaped countries, India does not have a system of scientific policing that includes empowered regulatory bodies, well defined procedures for investigations, vigilance towards fraudulent scientific practices and awareness about basic codes of ethical scientific conduct. The Indian government, universities and research organizations should come together and frame laws that would not only keep vigil on the ethical legitimacy of scientific publications but also initiate appropriate punitive actions whenever there is a breach of scientific ethics. Discusses the various aspects of scientific misconduct including the different definitions, interpretations, procedures for investigation and strategies for implementing a comprehensive system for investigating scientific misconduct and minimizing malpractices in the rapidly expanding arena of Indian scientific enterprise.

Results show that 45% of the respondents use internet for educational purposes and 32.9% of the respondents use internet for checking e-mail. Google is the most used search engine and yahoo is their second choice. The purpose for the use of e-resources revealed that most of the respondents are using e resources for their project work since they have submit the project report as part of their syllabus. 36% of the respondents are using e-resources for preparing seminar presentation.

Main object of the study is to investigate the research trend in global warming for the past 18 years. Data are based on an online database which offers journal articles and books. Articles referring to global warming were assessed by many aspects during the period 1992-2010. The analysis cover mainly the number, journal and subject-wise distribution, periodic growth of the literature, authorship pattern, length of the articles and year-wise distribution of journals etc. Journal form of documents is the main source of information with 44,795 articles referring to global warming was published up to the year 2010. The maximum number of articles (6206) appeared in the year 2010. Among the journal-wise publication "Energy policy" (impact factor 2.614) is in the top of the list with 1485 articles out of which 837 articles were selected and analysed. Majority of articles 285 (34.05%) have the length between 6 to 9 pages and maximum number of articles 277 (33.09%) were contributed by two authors.

The University offers programmes in various disciplines including the Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM). Out of twenty one schools, Seventeen schools offer Ph.D programmes. Also makes an attempt to trace the subject-wise and gender-wise research output and to determine the trend of research programme. The finding reveals 753 Ph.D awarded in 17 disciplines and count on averages of the performance subject-wise as well as gender-wise. It indicates the strength and trend of research in every discipline. This analysis can be used as a significant indicator to measure the progress of research in a particular faculty.

Each scientist does not behave with complete honesty towards present and future scientists, the construction of scientific progress, built on the honesty of past scientists, is in danger of collapsing. The temptation to publish hastily, to misinterpret results or to publish fraudulent results is greater now than it has ever been, and scientific malfeasance in the developed and developing countries has made the headlines worldwide. In the present paper, efforts are made to review on comprehensive discussion of ethical problems encountered during the publication process. Ethical infringes such as data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism and redundant and duplicate publications are a few examples. In the present paper, efforts are also made to collect the problems/reasons generally faced by today's competent young scientists and impact of ethics in the scientific research quality. How this heavy burden of responsibility results into the temptation to rush to publish results that have not been adequately reproduced is also explained. As of now, there are more than 50 projects using ICT technology for developing India, but since no systematic study or evaluation has been conducted to access these ICT based projects so opportunities to learn the diverse creative Indian experience so far remains entirely wasted. Also existing e-governance models are more technology centric & have been adopted from the west. So they do not ensure complete rural development in a developing country like India. There are several gaps found in the execution of the ICT projects for rural India, where the larger goal of empowerment, digital and preservation of traditional technologies are lot considered. Indian researchers have published more than 43,400 papers in over 4,600 journals in 2009 as seen from Science Citation Index (SCI) -Expanded. Of these, over 6,900 (or one in six) papers were published in 445 open access (OA) journals. The proportion of papers published by Indian researchers in OA journals is considerably higher than the world average, which is estimated to be 8.5-10.0%. Although India publishes well over a thousand journals, including about 360 OA journals, SCI Expanded indexed in 2009 only 101 Indian S& T journals including 46 OA journals. The software framework that provides integrated processing and retrieval environment is based on open source software and open standards. Designing of the framework takes into consideration shortcomings of the popular library automation software implemented in India.

Knowledge accumulated in a society is recorded in its language is the base for development, is a capital resource to be equitably distributed in democracy. ICT can enable this and empower and emancipate the backward people if their vital information needs can be met by it through their language and script. But our Information Infrastructures has disregarded 'information' part; especially content in local language. A cause is identified as non availability of Language Technology. But now Unicode and related research enables reviving original local scripts for use in ICT. Discusses the essential Information systems to be developed in local 'scripts like those on indigenous knowledge. Opines that development of local language technology with provision for use of OCR, spell check etc for original script is a priority area in ICT development.
