The resulting system of nonlinear partial differential equations is solved numerically using an implicit finite-difference scheme known as the Keller-box method. Three different types of nanoparticles considered are Cu, Al₂O₃ and TiO₂ by using water-based fluid. Numerical solutions are obtained for the skin friction coefficient and heat transfer coefficient as well as the velocity and temperature profiles with various values of the parameters, namely, the nanoparticle volume fraction ϕ and the mixed convection parameter λ at Prandtl number Pr = 6.2.

A meshless local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) method is presented to treat the diffusion equation on a square domain. The moving least square (MLS) approximation is a well-known meshless interpolation scheme, which lacks the Kronecker delta function property and cannot be imposed with a penalty parameter easily and directly. Used a weight function that leads to the MLS approximation shape functions fulfilling the interpolation condition exactly and nodes on the Dirichlet boundary conditions enabling a direct application by impose boundary conditions. The weight function we have used has similar properties to the Kronecker delta function, and this implementation is easier than using a penalty parameter imposes at boundary conditions in the local weak form, and is verified to be accurate.

It is found that SDPRSS is more efficient than SRS, SRSS and SSRS. In addition, by SDPRSS, we can increase the efficiency of mean estimator for specific value of the sample size.

Our theorems on synchronization for the family of n-scroll hyperchaotic Chua circuits are established using Lyapunov stability theory. The backstepping scheme is a recursive procedure that links the choice of a Lyapunov function with the design of a controller and guarantees global stability performance of strict-feedback chaotic systems. Numerical simulations are also given to illustrate and validate the synchronization results derived in this paper.

By using the stochastic averaging method and Monte-Carlo method authors obtained the stationary probability density function of the noisy business system. The results show that the change of system parameters, noise intensity and correlation time will not change the shape of system amplitude's stationary probability distribution, while it changes the shape of system economic variable's stationary probability density function. Thus, it indicates that the change of system parameters, noise intensity and correlation time could induce phase transitions.

We first transform the bilinear system to be balanced realization and then we divide the state into the fast and the slow mode. To verify the proposed method, the simulation is carried out on a nonlinear RC circuit and the results show that this method is able to approximate a high-order model is similar to the balanced truncation method.

Aim is to critically examine the properties of the elements of the symmetric group S_n and the dihedral group D_n. It has always been a difficult task in determining the behaviors of reflections and rotational symmetries in these symmetry groups and how much information can be obtained from there symmetries. We therefore study the nature and properties of these symmetry elements including the conjugacy class size in both S_n and D_n. It was found that the conjugacy classes of S_n are determined by their cycle type while that of D_n is a special case, where the relation "Conjugacy" is an equivalence relation. The representations of the conjugacy class size of D_n reveals that the order of the centers of D_n are 1 (for n-odd) and 2 (for n-even), and consequently, leading to two different class equations of D_n.

Based on lattice implication algebra, with the help of the full implication triple I algorithm, the algorithms of the FMP uncertainty reasoning rule and the FMT uncertainty reasoning rule were respectively given, based on lattice implication algebra. In this paper, author not only provided an output range by the above methods, but also proved the output is in the vicinity of input. Therefore, it can make the whole inference process to be more reasonable. Finally, author presented the reduction of the inference rules.
