Alexandroff spaces are dealt in digital topology by A. Rosenfeld in 1979. The application of fuzzy topological concepts in computers, particularly in digital topology is more intuitive. The notion of fuzzy Alexandroff space is defined recently by Bhaumik and Hussain as a natural generalization of Alexandroff space in the fuzzy topological spaces. A fuzzy Alexandroff space is fuzzy T_1/2-space. In this paper we introduce the concept of fuzzy g*-closed sets and investigate some properties in the fuzzy topological space and a separation axiom called fuzzy T_a- axiom in the fuzzy topological spaces with the help of fuzzy g*-closed sets and investigate some of its properties. This space is weaker than that of fuzzy T_1/2-space.

Graphs have been plotted to highlight the effect of irregularity, surface stress and fiber reinforcement separately. Their combined effect has also been studied. Modulations of wave velocity for different cases may be noted and compared from the figures.

Protection of multimedia content has recently become an important issue because of the transition from analog to digital technologies. Unlike Encryption, which codes the information into unreadable form, Steganography and Data Hiding allow readability of the information along with digital stamps, called as watermarks, which are mainly used for authentication and ] authorization of the publisher. Watermarks need to be robust enough to withstand intentional and incidental attacks'in the communication channel. The robustness of the method depends upon the hiding room of the image. Decomposes gray scale still image into frequency domain using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) to analyze capacity estimation of the image. Proposes image adaptive watermarking algorithm to utilize maximum image hiding capacity and tested it against various attacks. Finds that, embedding watermarks in different frequency bands are robust to different groups of attacks. Thus, use of multiple watermarks at multiple levels of decomposition improves the overall robustness and security level of the system.

Most students in our Statistics classes are uncomfortable because they don't know these rules, and so do not understand what is "going on" in Statistics. Instructors are advised to use "explain-how-to-bootstrap" exercises to promote student understanding of the rules of the game. The purpose of this article is to defend the view expressed in introduction and prescribe some help from an unexpected source - the bootstrap. We begin by explaining how the sampling distribution concept sets the rules for the game of Statistics, followed by a discussion of why students have not learned these rules and what should be done about this problem. After exposing the bootstrap, some examples illustrate how bootstrap exercises can promote student understanding of the sampling distribution concept.

Laminar flow through a curved rectangular duct of aspect ratios 0.5 and 1.5 is investigated numerically by using the spectral method over a wide range of the Dean number, Dn, for the curvature 8 = 0.1. First, steady solutions are obtained by the Newton- Raphson iteration method. As a result, multiple branches of steady solutions are obtained with a bifurcation relationship among the branches. Linear stability of the steady solutions is then investigated. It is found that among many branches of solutions, only one branch, which exists throughout the range of Dn of the present study, is linearly stable in an interval of Dn, while the other branches are linearly unstable. Secondary flow patterns and axial flow distribution at various Dn on the respective branches are also obtained. As a result, two-, four-, six-, eight-, ten-, and twelve- vortex solutions are obtained. It is found that as Dn increases, the bifurcation structure becomes entangled, which produces multi-vortex solutions.

Using new model, optimal preventive age replacement policy is determined to maximize system reliability. For special systems having exponential density function with constant hazard function, a different simple decision-making model is proposed. A case study of two industrial machines was conducted using weibull density and exponential density function.

Epinephrine levels are significantly elevated by overstimulation as well as by under stimulation compared to more optimal environment condition work overload, a very high work place, tod much responsibility, and role conflicts as well as simple monotonous and repetitive jobs or lack of meaningful activities (e.g. Unemployment), may contribute to elevated epinephrine levels. The acute response to a novel environmental situation diminishes as the individual habituates but, in contrast to cortisol levels which seem to return to baseline, epinephrine levels remain chronically elevated also during normal work conditions. This paper applies the periodic recoupment with minimal repair at failure to cumulative damage models. The recoupment from the stress at time T, at epinephrine level N, or at damage Z, and undergoes quick recoupment between two successive epinephrine levels. The mean cost rate in terms of epinephrine levels is obtained and each optimal T*, N*, and Z* to minimize the cost-rate is discussed.

Al-Shammery and Kalla [1], have extended Appell's functions F_i (w,z), i = 1,2, and the confluent hypergeometric function by introducing the parameters τ, τ. Deals with the extension of basic Appell's functions (φi, i = 1,2 ) and the confluent basic hypergeometric function of two variables. These functions are defined by their series representations and corresponding integral representations, respectively. Some recurrence relations and differentiation formulae for generalized basic Appell's functions are established. Representations of the generalized basic Appell's series, in terms of the function ₂φ₁^τ(-), is also presented. Some of the interesting special cases and an application have been discussed.

Effect of radiation on three dimensional flow of the electrically conducting viscous dissipative fluid in a channel of two horizontal parallel porous flat plates moving in the same and in the opposite direction has been analyzed. When the injection of the fluid at the lower plate and its corresponding removal by suction through the upper plate, is transverse sinusoidal one, the flow becomes three-dimensional. A magnetic field of uniform strength is applied normal to the plane of the plates. Taking viscous dissipation into account, Obtain the expression for the velocity and temperature fields. The effect of injection / suction velocity on the flow field, skin friction and the effect of radiation on heat transfer is reported and discussed with the help of graphs.
