The solution has been obtained in a closed and simple form. In the form of table and graph the numerical computation of the velocity component has been derived and the corresponding velocity profile has been exhibited. To explore the nature of the flow of the fluid at the end a discussion has been presented.

Steady hydromagnetic flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid in a rotating channel with nonconducting walls in the presence of a uniform magnetic field, which is inclined with the axis of rotation, is studied. Exact solution of the governing equations for the fully developed flow is obtained in closed form. Solution, in dimensionaless form, contains three parameters viz. M² (square of Hartmann number), K² (rotation parameter) and θ (angle of inclination). The asymptotic behaviour of the solution is analyzed for small and large values of K² and M² to gain some physical insight into the flow pattern. Expressions for non-dimensional shear stress at both the walls and mass flow rates are also obtained. Numerical solution of velcoity and induced magnetic field is depiected graphically, while numerical values of shear stress at the upper wall and mass flow rates are presented in tables for various values of θ, K² and M².

The Rosseland approximation is used to describe radiative heat transfer in the limit of opticaliy thick fluids. The dimensionless governing equations for this investigation are solved analytically using perturbation technique. Numerical results of velocity distribution of micropolar fluids are compared with the corresponding flow problems for a Newtonian fluid. The resulting velocity, microrotation, temperature and concentration distributions are shown graphically for different values of parameters entering into the problem. The numerical of the local wall shear stress, wall couple stress, local heat and mass flux are shown in tabular form.

The velocity, temperature and concentration are obtained analytically and their behaviour for different variations in the governing parameters is discussed computationally. The study of statistical significance of several autocorrelation coefficients is vital in investigating the stationary and assessment of the forecasting model of a time series data. In the literature, several tests for stationarity (e.g., autocorrelation tests and unitroot tests) are available. The LB statistic developed by Ljung-Box (1978) is often used in practice to test (Ho) that all the autocorrelation coefficients starting from lag one up to a certain lag, are simultaneously equal to zero. This statistic demonstrates only the statistical significance of all autocorrelation coefficients simultaneously. The graphical plot of autocorrelation coefficients at different lags is drawn to assess the forecasting model. In this paper, an ANOM-type graphical method is proposed for testing (Ho). This proposed method demonstrates the statistical significance of all autocorrelation coefficients simultaneously, the significance of each individual autocorrelation coefficient, as well as the method, one can check the stationarity of the data and have an idea about the forecasting model as either moving average model or autoregressive model. An example is given to illustrate the proposed method through a data relating to counts of weft yarn from a jute mill, located in Andhra Pradesh, India. The data was collected for the period : May, 2005 to January, 2006. The study is restricted to check the stationary only.

The magnetic field succeeds in stabilizing certain wave-number range, which were unstable in the absence of magnetic field and rotation for the potentially unstable configuration. The concept of wireless LAN was first introduced in 1980 there after many companies tried to implement variety of wireless LAN applications using spread spectrum, infrared and wideband radio technologies. In 1997, IEEE 802.11 standard provided a solid platform for new applications. This concept gained the importance and the needed momentum, thank to the digital technology, new large-scale circuit integration and the advancement of related technologies which made deployment of wireless technology affordable and cheap. IEEE is going to finalize the draft of a new advanced high speed WLAN standard by the end of year, 2008 which will further speed-up and popularize the deployments of WLANs in near future.

The general network flows do not put restriction on the choice of paths on which flow is sent. Only the arc capacities are considered but generally we search for the shorter high capacity path to maximise the flow, the selection of shortest path is again of that kind through which the flow transfer the data in minimum time, here we consider the dynamic flow with constant transit time τ(e) for any arc of flow network N(G). To minimise the cost and time of transmission of a given length message we divide the given message in to segments and then allocate these to different simple paths.

A weak topology is defined on the class of all Cesaro-Denjoy-Pettis scale of integrable (C_nD*P integrable) Banach valued functions. Scale of weakly Cesaro-Denjoy-Pettis almost periodic (C_nD*Pa.p) function is then defined with the help of this topology. The convergency of the Fourier Series of such function is established with respect to the weak topology. The point wise summability of the series is also shown assuming the Banach space to be weakly sequentially complete.

Analyze the mixed convective flow of a viscous, incompressible fluid through a porous medium confined in a vertical channel whose walls are maintained axially varying non-uniform temperature. The dissipative effects are taken into account. A transverse secondary velocity develops in view of the non-uniformity in the boundary temperature. The governing non-linear momentum equations are reduced to a single equation in terms of the stream function using the equation of continuity under incompressibility condition. These momentum and energy equations are non-dimensionalised to obtain the governing parameters viz., Grashof number (G), Reynolds number (R), Darcy parameter (D), Prandtl number (P) and Eckert number (Ec). The velocity components are obtained analytically and their behavior for different variations in the governing parameters is discussed computationally. The shear stress and the local rate of heat transfer are also evolved analytically and tabulated numerically for variations in the said parameters.

Steady combined convection flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting dissipative fluid through a porous medium in a rotating channel bounded by a two parallel non-conducting plates in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field is investigated. The hydromagnetic boundary layer equations of motion with respect to a rotating frame and the energy equation are solved analytically and expressions for the velocity, temperature, skin-friction and the rate of heat transfer coefficient are obtained. The behaviour of these physical quantities for variations in the governing parameters are computed and presented graphically.
