The solution of the problem of symmetrical creeping flow of an incompressible viscous fluid past a swarm of porous oblate spheroidal particles with Kuwabara boundary condition is investigated. The Brinkman equation for the flow inside the porous region and the Stokes equation for the free-flow region in their stream function formulations are used. As boundary conditions, continuity of velocity and surface stresses across the porous surface and Kuwabara boundary conditions on the cell surface are employed. Explicit expressions are investigated for both inside and outside flow fields to the first order in small parameter characterizing the deformation. The drag force experienced by each porous oblate spheroid in a cell is evaluated. The dependence of drag coefficient on permeability for porous oblate spheroid in unbounded medium and for solid oblate spheroid in a cell on solid volume fraction is presented graphically and discussed. The earlier results reported are then deduced from the present analysis.

Analysis is performed to study the effects of thermal radiation and chemical reaction on unsteady free convective flow over a moving vertical plate with mass transfer in the presence of magnetic field. The fluid considered here is a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. The plate temperature is raised to T_w and the concentration level near the plate is also raised linearly with time. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using the Laplace transform technique. The velocity, temperature and concentration are studied for different parameters like the magnetic field parameter, radiation parameter, chemical reaction parameter and time. It is observed that the velocity decreases with increasing magnetic field parameter or radiation parameter.

Blood is assumed to be represented by one of the micro-continuum approach. Such approach has distinctive advantages over normal Newtonian approach because microcontinuum approach has additional parameters and equations to account for the blood cells effects in the human body. There are various micro-continuum approaches however in the present model, blood is represented by a couple stress fluid proposed by V. K. Stokes. Flow variables such as velocity, flow rates, and pressure variations are derived for the flow through straight and constricted arteries. At present the model is ready for quantitative analysis for the comparison with the other existing models. It is clear from the obtained results that, the present model will have better results in comparison to the one existing in the literatures based on the additional terms accounted in the model. Restricts the presentations in the results up to the quantitative comparison with the other existing models however the aim is to compute it for qualitative comparison, which is our continued work.

We prove that there exist normalized Banach subspaces of X such that every element of these subspaces can be represented by a linear combination of Jacobi polynomials to any degree of accuracy. Moreover, it is concluded that the set of Jacobi polynomials is dense on every one under certain conditions. Our method to prove such approximation problem is Fourier-Jacobi analysis based on the convergence of Fourier-Jacobi expansions. Authors are exploring beyond what has already been done.

A dominating set D of a graph H is a maximal semi total block (MSB) dominating set if V(H)-D is not a dominating set of H. The maximal semi total block (MSB) domination number γ_mtb(G) of G is the minimum cardinality of a maximal semi total block (MSB) dominating set of G. In this paper many bounds on γ_mtb(G) are obtained in terms of elements of G but not the elements of H. Also its relationship with other domination parameters is established.

In the classical case of real numbers, we know that the transformation associated to Engel expansions is ergodic. We show that in the case of formal Laurent series over a finite base field, where the ring of polynomials and its quotients play the role of the set of integers and rationals respectively, the transformation associated to Engel expansions of formal Laurent series is also ergodic.
