If H has size five, then there exist six possibilities for the family P_ε. In three of these cases, authors find, up to isomorphisms, the tables of the corresponding hypergroups.

But unfortunately, the proof of this result given by Govil and Mc Tume is not correct. Problem analogous to above have been consed and obtain certain generalizations of the well known result of Enestrom and Kdkeya concerning the bounds for the moduli of the zeros of polynomial with complex coefficients, which generalize some known results in this direction.

Multi-session generalized group-oriented cryptography (MGGOC) scheme is constructed to cope with the new trend of multi-session communication environments. This paper contains four key features. First, extend and enhance the Generalized Group-Oriented Cryptography (GGOC) to work out the multi-session applications. Second, any arbitrarily chosen access structure (AS) can be optimized to be the structure of group of legitimate user. Thridly, our proposed scheme is achieved by using secret sharing concepts operated by the legitimate users and the trusted central authority (CA) servers. This is aimed at lessening the extra computation involved in dealing with the policy registration and the generation and distribution of shadow keys for all users. Fourthly, the generated shadow key is able to be authenticated upon the self-authentication procedure to enable the next multi-session communivations, by way of the individual identity, login timestamp, random number, and secret key (one-key) of each participant. Therefore, the scheme satisfies the demands of the multi-session application for network communications.

Linear convective instability in a horizontal layer of electrically conducting fluid, confined between two rigid walls, heated from below and above, is considered. The temperature gradient between the walls consists of a steady part and a periodic part that oscillates with time. Infinitesimal disturbances are considered and only odd solutions have been investigated. Numerical results for the critical Rayleigh number are obtained for various values of the parameters. It is found that vertical magnetic field has a stabilizing effect on the onset of thermal instability. Some comparisons have also been made with the known results.

Describes a study of Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) of as-cast and heat-treated SiC paniculate and E-glass fiber reinforced AI (606 1) based hybrid composites with different ageing durations. The liquid melt technique route is used to produce the castings. Castings were machined to the ASTM standards and heat-treatment process is carried out. All the specimens were artificially aged to different durations say Ihr, 3hrs, 5hrs,and 7hrs at 175°C. CTE tests were performed on the various composites in the both As-Cast and heat treated conditions. In each tests the CTE rates of the composites were found to increase with increase in ageing durations. Solution heat-treatment at 530°C followed by artificial ageing at 175°C was found to increase in dimension change of every specimen tested. The CTE curves exhibited some residual strain, which were decreased with the increase in the ageing durations. An attempt is made in the paper to explain these phenomenons.

Algorithm for solving n-coupled nonlinear partial differential equations has been descrbed and used a method of upper and lower solutions to solve a kind of nonlinear coupled partial differential equation having Laplacian. This , method gives the criteria to find upper solution by solving the associate linear systems from the coupled system. The Laplacian present in the system is discretized using central difference approximation. The method gives multiple iterative schemes to solve the system. If there are n-coupled equations, there will be 2n iterative schemes. Authors proved that these 2n iterative schemes converge monotonically to a nonnegative solutions. This method is more applicable to the coupled systems where nonnegative solutions are expected. The method is applied to a system of nonlinear coupled equations for transportation problem with ten equations and the derived finite difference scheme is implemented on a cluster of workstations using MPI library: Results are presented. Performance and the efficiency are discussed.

Numerical analysis is restricted to a particular model and incidence of logitudinal and transverse waves is considered. The amplitude ratios are computed and plotted against angle of incidence varying from normal to grazing incidence. Effects of presence of cracks and their saturation on amplitude ratios are verified numerically.

Porous Friction Courses (PFCs) are bituminous surfaces designed with a voids content of more than 18% after laying and compaction. They are used as wearing courses and are always laid on impervious bases. The presence of a large percentage of voids results in a network of channels in the PFC layer that enable the drainage of rain-water. The 'negative texture' of PFCs will increase the surface-friction especially in wet-weather conditions, in addition to attenuation of tire-noise. The other benefits of pavements surfaced with PFC are, minimized hydroplaning potential and reduced splash-spray problems during rains storms, minimized night glare effect during wet-weather conditions, etc. Due to these superior functions, the application of PFC over pavement is rapidly increasing in major parts of the world. The application of this technology has not been explored meaningfully in India. There is an imperative need to investigate the possibilities of using porous-asphalt for tropical conditions of India. This paper provides a comprehensive literature review related to history of the use of PFCs, mix-design methods, various performance properties, construction and maintenance aspects, and other characteristics of PFCs.

In closed form a nonlinear differential equation modelling the planar, non-inflectional elastica (deflection γ) of a thin, flexible, simply supported, x-straight rod, which withdraws bending and doesn't retain its original length L when de- formed under a compressive thrust is solved . Dirichlet two-point boundary value problem providingan explicit inverse function x(y) through elliptic integrals of I arid II kind is also solved Integral ion is performed twice via the "shooting" getting both branches of elastica. In such a way y(x) is required to be invertible, and then our solution is found within each of two monotonicity x-ranges for y, before and beyond the bifurcation value x= L/2. An auxiliary unknown is then introduced and successively computed through a suitable welding condition. In such a way x = x(y) is completely known in its two symmetrical branches.

Attempt has been made to develop instant form of Anjeer shake. For the purpose, the recipe of anjeer shake prepared using different permutation and combination of ingredients was standardized in the laboratory in view of its organoleptic acceptability and suitability for drying. Of the four most acceptable recipes, the shake having 12.5 per cent of anjeer and 17.0 per cent total solids gave best quality product, in the form of thin uniformly dried sheets when dried in roller drier. The successful drying of shake occurred at 6 rpm and 6 kg/cm² steam pressure. The sheets obtained were powdered in electric mixer and sugar was added at the rate of 16 per cent. Reconstitution procedure was also standardized. Shake prepared by reconstituting instant mix was well accepted by the selected panel of judges.

The decision rule for finding the optimal order quantity is also given, and numerical examples are presented to illustrate the model developed.

A new type of inventory model using the so-called Setting the Clock Back to Zero (SCBZ) property is analyzed. There are two machines M₁, and M₂ in series and the output of M₁, is the input of M₂. The breakdown and the repair of M₁ will result in shutdown of M₂. Hence a reserve inventory between M₁ and M₂ is maintained. The method of obtaining the optimal size of reserve inventory S, assuming cost of excess inventory, cost of shortage, when the rate of consumption of M₂ is a constant, has already been attempted. In this paper, it is assumed that the repair time of M₁ is a random variable and the distribution of the same undergoes a parametric change after a truncation point X₀ which is taken to be a random variable. The optimal size of the reserve inventory is obtained under the assumption that the repair time distribution satisfying SCBZ property. Numerical illustration also provided.

How to construct the acoustic Green's function for a water column atop an infinite elastic seabed is shown. The main interest is to obtain a representation of the acoustic Green's function which is valid in the near field. With a near field Green's function,The inverse problem for an undeter will be able to solve mined object submerged in an ocean with a layer of fluid-like sediment atop rigid rock is devised. Using a method analogous to that of Ahluwalia and Keller for an acoustic wave guide. A ray-representation of the Green's function for the fluid-elastic wave guide.

In the study of HIV infection and its consequences, the estimation of the expected time to seroconversion is of prime interest. In doing so, models could be developed under various assumptions and one such assumption is to treat the inter arrival times between the successive contacts of an uninfected person with an infected are identically independent, also if the inter arrival times arc correlated results have been obtained. In this paper, it is assumed that the amount of antigenic diversity contribution in successive contacts are correlated. The explicit expressions for E(T) and its variance are obtained. Numerical illustration is also provided.

Author characterize unary partial operations with λ(f) = n and λ(f) = n - 1. In both cases we describe the equivalence relations on A which are invariant with respect to such partial unary operations. This generalizes similar results for total unary operations (see [3]).

Formation of a Ca²⁺ spark can be viewed as a reaction-diffusion problem involving Ca²⁺ release from the SR, cytosolic Ca²⁺ diffusion reaction of Ca²⁺ with various Ca²⁺-binding proteins (endogenous Ca²⁺ "buffers"). Investigation has been made for the buffer diffusion of Ca²⁺ in presence of two excess buffers for an unsteady state case of the Ca²⁺ profile near an open Ca²⁺ channel based on reaction-diffusion equation which describes buffered diffusion of Ca²⁺. This transport equation for Ca²⁺ profile incorporates the various parameters like diffusion constant, association and dissociation rate constant and two buffers B_E: (EGTA) and B_p (BAPTA). The appropriate boundary conditions have been framed. The finite differences methods have been employed to obtain the numerical solution. This solution has been used to compute Ca²⁺ profiles in the region.

Hereby using the supplementary variable technique various measures of system effectiveness such as reliability, availability etc. are obtained.
