Using the relation η, we prove that the commutative F-semigroups are, uniquely, semilattices of archimedean sub-F-semigroups which mean that they are decomposable, in a unique way, into their archimedean components.

In recent times, the Princeton Group [15] working on the History of Science & Technology keeps on providing new approaches that would, doubtless, bring about a different indepth genre of pursuits in this direction.

It is a fact that most of the companies used to provide progressive interest scheme. If the outstanding amount is paid after M₁, but until M₂, the supplier will charge the buyer with marginal interest say ^IP₁. If the customer pays after the second permissible period M₂, he will be charged by interest rate ^Ip₂, obviously this interest rate is not marginal on the other hand more than the normal rate of interest. Thus this paper not only considered trade credit but also make it more practical as it considers the progressive interest scheme under the effect of inflation and time value of money.

The analysis made in study suggests that there is high degree of imbalance in the economy of district Garhwal and its reduction demands for adoption of micro-level or area based planning would take proper care of the diversities of different areas and reduce them. Area planning implies close identification of activities suitable to a particular area and capable of absorbing local labour surpluses.

Some particular cases and asymptotic behaviour of the system have also been derived to improve practical importance of the model. Expression for availability function has been computed. A numerical example together with its graphical illustration has been appended at the end to highlight important results.

An interesting and real world problem is discussed in this paper in the kind of time-varying nonlinear singular systems. The results (approximate solutions) obtained using single-term Walsh Series (STWS) and single-term Haar wavelet series (STHW) methods are compared with the exact solutions of the nonlinear singular systems for time-varying case. It is found that the solution obtained using STHW is closer to the exact solutions of the nonlinear singular systems. The high accuracy and the wide applicability of STHW approach will be demonstrated with numerical examples. Finally error graphs for approximate and exact solutions are presented in a graphical form to show the accuracy of the STHW. This STHW can be easily implemented in a digital computer and the solution can be obtained for any length of time for time-varying cases of nonlinear singular systems. It is an added advantage of this STHW.

Cost minimization technique is used to get the approximate expressions for total cost also with other parameters. The fluid considered here is a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. The temperature as well as concentration are raised linearly with respect to time. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using the Laplace transform technique. The velocity, temperature and concentration are studied for different parameters like the magnetic field parameter, radiation parameter, chemical reaction parameter and time. It is observed that the velocity decreases with increasing magnetic field parameter or radiation parameter.

However, the customer has the reserve capital to make the payments at the beginning, but he decides to take the benefit of the credit limit. Also, the whole study has been done under inflation. The accuracy to protein secondary structure prediction has been improving steadily towards the 88% estimated theoretical limit. There are two types of Prediction algorithms: Single - sequence prediction algorithm imply that information about other (homologous) proteins is not available, while algorithms of the second type imply that information about homologous proteins is available, and use it intensively. The single sequence algorithms could make an important contribution to studies of proteins with no detected homologs, however the accuracy of protein secondary structure prediction from a single - sequence is not as high as when the additional evolutionary information is present. Food legumes are considered as the major source of dietary proteins among the plant species. In this paper a new approach for predicting the secondary structure of Proteins of soy beans using fuzzy K-nearest Neighbor algorithm has been proposed and it has been compared with Artificial Neural Network method (Backpropagation algorithm).

In this paper, A denotes a C*-algebra with identity. The spaces l₂ (A) ⊆ l₂^b (A) are defined; these are noncommutative generalizations of the classical sequence space l₂ The dual space l₂(A)* is isometrically isomorphic to the space S(A) of sequences of bounded linear functional on A satisfying a weak absolute convergence -condition. Conditions for reflexivity of l₂ (A) are given. Furthermore, the space (2 (A) is also a Hilbert A-module. The space of adjointable bounded linear operators on l₂ (A) is studied.

We extend Ito's theorem on conjugacy class sizes which asserts that if 1 and m > 1 are the only lengths of conjugacy classes of a group G, then G = P x A, where P ∈ Syl_p(G) and A is abelian. In particular, then m is a power of p. We show that if 1 and TO > 1 are the only lengths of conjugacy classes of elements of primary and biprimary orders of a group G, then G = P x A, where P ∈Syl_p(G) and A is abelian. In particular, then m is a power of p.

In compressible multi-phase flow models closure or the proper definition of averages of nonlinear terms is a central problem. Here we compare various proposed closures. We introduce physical constraints closures should satisfy to conserve the total energy and phase entropy and to satisfy boundary conditions at the edges of the mixing zones. We find one closure which satisfies these constraints.

Deals with the study of steady laminar axisymmetric boundary layer flow of an electrically conducting fluid under the influence of both, variable viscosity and an applied magnetic field. The partial differential equations governing the nonsimilar flow have been solved numerically using implicit finite difference scheme along with a quasi-linearization technique. Numerical results are presented graphically, for various values of dimensionless parameters of the problem which includes a magnetic field, viscosity variation parameter, suction/injection and Prandtl number. The results show that the magnetic field decreases both skin friction and heat transfer, while the effect of variable viscosity is to increase both skin friction and heat transfer. Also, injection cause the location of vanishing skin friction to move up stream while the effect of suction is just opposite. The velocity and temperature fields are strongly influenced by variable viscosity as well as magnetic field.

The concepts of exact sequences, split exact sequences and the like form an important area in module theory. The notion of fuzzy modules and L-modules were introduced respectively by Negoita & Ralescu and Mashinchi & Zahedi as an extension of module theory in the fuzzy context. In this paper we introduce and study the concepts of exact sequences and split exact sequences of L-modules. We obtain a necessary condition for a given sequence to be exact. Some related results also are proved.
