In this paper we establish the following result: Let (E,p(.) = (F(., .))^1/2) be a complete inner product space, p a regular vectorial norm, G a proper closed linear subspace of E. The object of the present paper is to derive τ-generalizations of Gauss's hypergeometric function ; Appell's Hypergeometric functions F₁, F₂, F₃, F₄ ; Confluent Hypergeometric functions φ₁, φ₂, φ₃ and Humbert's functions ψ_l, ψ₂, ≡₁ and ≡₂ of matrix argument. The topic of discussion in the present paper is the extension of Virchenko et. al. results. The functions are defined in terms of matrix transforms and corresponding integral representations from which some limiting properties are been established by giving particular values to the parameters. Some identities are also derived.

It has been assumed here that (i) the free stream oscillates in magnitude about a non zero constant mean, (ii) the suction velocity at the plate also oscillates in magnitude about a non-zero constant mean suction velocity, (iii) the plate is moved impulsively with a constant velocity, (iv) the plate is non conducting and (v) there is no heat transfer between the fluid and the plate, i.e. the heated fluid flows past a thermally isolated plate. The mean velocity, mean temperature and mean skinfriction are shown graphically followed by a discussion.

A numerical analysis was carried out on the basis of thermal conduction treatment for the whole domain of a subnotebook computer which has a small cooling fan. Since the influence of viscosity surpasses that of the buoyancy caused by temperature distribution inside the enclosure, heat transfer mode can be restricted to thermal conduction in numerical analysis. In this work, numerical analysis based on the finite volume method was employed to estimate the temperature distribution of a computer. To treat the airflow caused by the cooling fan, a lump model was used in addition to the thermal conduction model. The numerical model includes silicon chips, LSI packages, printed wiring.

Simulation method that is based on a thermal network model for which a set of equations are developed. Some of the coefficients of the thermal network equations were determined experimentally using a simulated model lamp. The calculated temperatures are in good agreement with the measured temperatures. The work illustrates the usefulness of the proposed methodology in the design of compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamps.

Aanalysis on the bifureation of limit cycles for a cubic Hamiltonian system with quintic perturbed terms using both qualitative analysis and numerical exploration is presented. The perturbed terms considered here is in the form of R(x,y,λ) = S(x,y, λ) mx⁴ + ny4 + kx²y² - λ, where m, n, k, and λ are all variable. The investigation is based on detection functions which are particularly effective for the perturbed cubic Hamiltonian system. The study reveals that, for the Hamiltonian system [equation (1.2) in the introduction] with the perturbed terms mentioned above, there are 15 limit cycles if 0.630393 <60> λ <60> 0.630867; and 7 limit cycles if 0.630247 <60> λ <60> 0.630393 (or 0.630867 <60> λ <60> 0.632824 ). The results presented here are helpful for further investigating the bifurcation behavior of the Hilbert's 16th problem.

Deviating from the classical approach of discrete function theories from Boole (1872) to Murugesan (2002) where the discrete spaces are subsets of the real line or complex plane, an attempt is made here to establish an analysis based on the algebraic extension field A₂ of the set of integers modulo two, Z₂. A₂ is the totality of extensions of x²ⁿ⁺¹ + 1, n ε Z⁺. This space is discrete, dense and adjacency prevails on A₂. The fundamental theorem of A₂-algebra states that 'Every polynomial over Z₂ uniquely fixes its conjugate', An attempt is made here to develop an infinitesimal calculus for the analysis on A₂. In pure discrete theories, finite operator calculus exists, though not in a sound way, whereas the infinitesimal calculus is a new innovation in the realm of discrete analysis. We have already defined some special functions like: G, Φ, H and ψ functions and the relationship between these functions. The fundamental result in A₂-analysis is 'the derived function of a constant is zero but the converse is not true', In this paper, author focused on some new innovations like the differential equations over A₂, their solutions, comparison of these solutions with the ordinary solution in the classical analysis and some new methods to derive special functions.

In the mathematical sense the word Model describes a system of assumptions, equations and procedures intended to describe the performance of a prototype system. The advent of the digital computer the term hydrologc model has come to mean a relatively complex mathematical description of the hydrologic cycle designed for solution on a computer. The models have been described as deterministic, physically based and conceptual. Conceptual models embody a series of functions, which are considered to describe the catchment processes involved. The algorithms are usually simplified by use of empirical relations in order to speed the solution and to adapt the model to cope with the point-to-point variations in the hydrologic process within the catchment. Average runoff estimated for different sub-areas as 32, 39, 47, 37 43,44, 34, 31, 32 and 45percentage of rainfallforPalakurtljy, Kadagandla, Torrur, Maripeda, Tungaturthy, Nootbankal, Aravapally, Atmakur, Mothey and Kushmanchi respectively. Average runoff far the entire Palleru sub basin was estimated to be 39% of rainfall. The daily, monthly and yearly comlation coefficients (R²) for the entire basin are found to be 0.87, 0.95 and 0.84 respectively. Nash coefficient of efficiency (CE) was calculated on daily, monthly and yearly basis and found to be 81%, 89% and 80 % respectively indicating a fairly good model.

Deer hunter attitude surveys provide information concerning deer populations, deer hunting and management in Missouri. Survey result is one of the key components used to set deer population goals and hunting regulations. However attitude surveys can yield inaccurate results when a significant number of people in the sample do not return questionnaires. Authors explore four sets of Bayesian hierarchical logistic linear mixed models to characterize the respondents and nonrespondents of the 2001 Deer Hunter Attitude Survey. The results show that not only hunter's age, date of hunting permit purchase and number of deer hunting permits significantly influence response probabilities, but also there are significant mailing differences and strong spatial correlation of response rates among counties.

Permutation flowshop scheduling problem with the objectives of minimi/ing the makespan and total flowtime of jobs is studied. An attempt is made to solve the multi-objective problem by using the Proposed Genetic Algorithm (ProGA). In order to evaluate the ProGA, makes use of benchmark flowshop scheduling problems, and the heuristically non-dominated solutions for these problems are obtained from each of the existing methodologies and the ProGA. These non-dominated solutions are combined to obtain a net heuristic non-dominated front for a given problem. It is found that most of the solutions on the net non-dominated front are yielded by the ProGA, bringing out the superiority of the proposed genetic algorithm.
