The effects of dust are described by two parameters, the mass concentration of the dust ƒ and relaxation time τ, which measures the rate at which the velocity of the dust particles adjusts in the velocity of the clean air and depends upon the size of the individual particles.Analytical expression for the velocity of the clean air, air with fine dust and coarse dust particles under the influence of the constant pressure gradient has been derived. The analytical computational of velocities, wall shear stress distribution, flow rate for clean air and air with fine dust particles, and air with coarse dust particle in the trachea for different radial coordinate and for different time due to effect of dust parameters ƒ and τ are carried out graphed and interpreted.

If S-X contains an entire dominating set X' of G then X' is called an inverse entire dominating set with respect to X. The inverse entire domination number ε^-1 (G) of G is the order of a smallest inverse entire dominating set of G. In this paper exact values of ε^-1 G for some graphs are obtained. Also, bounds on ε^-1 (G) and Nordhaus_Gaddum type results are established.

The concept of correlated renewal sequence is used for the arrival of cortisol secretions in different time intervals. The model is fitted with the real life data and mean time to get functional disturbance (memory performance) of the organism due to different stimuli is obtained. Medical findings also suggest that the decline in memory performance with increasing cortisol levels may be more reliable for negative, compared with neutral stimuli.

Extreme regression quantile in the linear regression model is considered and derive its asymptotic distribution under a density (f) of the errors with exponential tail, and under mild conditions on the regressons. The method is based on the fact that the slope components of the extreme regression quantile can be interpreted as a special R-estimator, Hence, we can use the methods based on ranks, in view of the uniform asymptotic linearity of the Hajek (1965) rank scores process. This R-estimator can even estimate the slope parameters consistently under some conditions on the tails of f. The intercept component is the maximum of the pertaining residuals; its asymptotic distribution differs from that of the sample extreme in the i.i.d. case only in that it involves the hat matrix of the regressons. The rate of convergence is f(F^-1(1-1/n)) both for the slopes and the intercept, which is in conformity with the maximal domain of attraction of the errors.

An integral transform, called the Sumudu transform was defined and studied by G.K. Units and scale preserving properties, makes the Sumudu transform an ideal tool for solving many engineering problems without restoring to a new frequency domain. In this paper, first we mention some properties of the Sumudu transform and then introduce a new integral transform involving confluent hypergeometric function as kernel. Some properties of this generalized transform are established and images of certain special functions, including Mittag-Leffler and H-function, under this transform are given. An inversion formula for this transform is obtained by using Laplace and its inverse operators.

Inspection is carried out of the items processed by machines in the second stage and only good items are accepted, while others are scrapped. The analysis is carried out by employing the state-space method and the regeneration-point technique. Several measures of system performance, transient in nature, are evaluated. A cost analysis is also carried out by using some of the measures of system performance obtained.

The inquiries are made about the exact solutions for the fluid and the particle velocities and the skin-frictions on the walls. The results are evaluated quantitatively and the simultaneous effects of the magnetic field and the particles on the flow as well as on the skin-frictions are examined.

In a simulation study, the consistency is also demonstrated for the case that 30% of the observations are replaced by outliers. In this case, the robust M-kernel estimators are superior to the classical kernel-estimators.

A mathematical model of interacting phytoplankton and zooplankton is population proposed, incorporating the spatial movement of plankton population. We also assume that the resease of the toxic subªstance by the phytoplankton species. Since the plankton populations are not static and uniformly distributed over a region. Therefore, the study of existence, coexistence and stability analysis makes sense in spatio-temporal domain. In this paper we have studied the existence of linear and nonlinear stability conditions for the uniform as well as non-uniform steady state system. It is observed that the diffusion process enhances the stability of the plankton system.

Several goodness-of-fit tests for model specification in nonparametric regression models which are based on kernel methods are considered. In order to circumvent the problem of choosing a bandwidth for the corresponding test statistic, author proposed to consider the statistics as stochastic processes indexed with bandwidths proportional to the asymptotically optimal bandwidth for the estimation of the regression function. Proved weak convergence of these processes to centered Gaussian processes and suggest to use functionals of these processes as test statistics for the problem of model specification. A bootstrap test is proposed to obtain a good approximation of the nominal level. The results are illustrated by means of a simulation study and the new test is compared with some of the currently available procedures.

Thermal radiation effects on flow past an impulsively started infinite vertical isothermal plate with variable mass diffusion in the presence of magnetic field is studied. The fluid considered here is a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. The plate temperature is raised to T_w and the concentration level near the plate is also raised linearly with time. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using the Laplace-transform technique. The velocity, temperature and skin-friction are studied for different parameters like magnetic field parameter, radiatioll panulleter, thermal Grashof number, mass Grashof number and time. It is observed that the velocity increases with decreasing values of the radiation parameter and decreases in the presence of magnetic field.
