Perhaps a class of animals or plants are of hybrid category, say codominant or semidominant, whatever it may be. But there are much dissimilarities amongst the hybrids corresponding to a trait. It is our object to study that this dissimilarity depends mainly on DNA sequence and the trait is directed by it. It is concluded that the trait corresponds to an element or some elements, which is taken as number of units and analyze mathematically the cause of dissimilarities of the trait.

Furthermore, the canonical form of such systems is also established. In this paper we show that:- (i) F : Tgh → Fgh is a covariant functor, where Tgh' denotes the category of transformation groups and their continuous group homomorphisms and 'Fgh' denotes the category of fundamental groups and their group homomorphisms; (ii) the functor F is a homotopy type invariant; in the sence that if [X,G) and (Y,H) be two transformation groups having same homotopy type, then the groups F(X,G) and F(Y,H) are isomorphic. we also prove that:- (iii) the fundamental group of a transformation group is invariant the homotopy type of the fundamental groups.

Let X be a pointed topological space and C(X) be the set of all base point preserving real valued continuous functions defined on X. The addition and multiplication on C(X) are defined by the formulas: (f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x) and (f.g)(x) - f(x).g(x) where f, g ∈ C(X) and V(X) ∈ X. Then C(X) forms a ring. The aim of this paper is to study the functor 'C' associated with ring C(X) of continuous functions. In this paper we show that: (i) If f : X→Y is a base point preserving continuous map between compact Hausdorff spaces X and Y, then f induces a ring homomorphism between the rings C(Y) and C(X); (ii) C: Top → R is a contravariant functor; (iii) The functor 'C' is a Homeomorphism type invariant in the sense that if X and Y are two pointed topological spaces having the same Homeomorphism type then the rings C(X) and C(Y) are isomorphic.

Goal programming model was used to analyze optimum fertilizer combinations. Under this approach the fertilizer requirements, instead of being fixed values as in traditional linear programming, are considered targets which may or may not be achieved. A penalty system coupled to the goal programming mode! makes the specified lower and upper levels of nutrients more flexible and realistic. A simple example is used to expound the model, and then applied to real data to give optimum combinations of fertilizers for sugar beet.

It is proven that the singularities formed in the gravitational collapse of monopole-railiating dyon solution are not hidden behind the event horizon. Further it is shown that these naked singularities are strong in Tipler's sense.

The principal complicating features is the strong role played by the free surface in controlling the coating dynamics in the Region where the object leaves the surface of the fluid. In-depth understanding of the amount of layer coated depends on the viscosity, surface tension of the coating fluid and on the velocity of withdrawal has been brought out.

The resulting partial differential equation is highly nonlinear. Classical Lie point symmetry methods are employed and some reductions are performed. Since the governing boundary value problem is not invariant under any Lie point symmetry, we solve the original partial differential equation numerically. The effects of realistic fin parameters such as the thermogeometric fin parameter and the exponent of the heat transfer coefficient on the temperature distribution are studied.

Folklore suggests that the split Lie-like operators of a complex partial differential equation are symmetries of the split system of real partial differential equations. However, this is not the case generally. We illustrate this by using the complex heat equation, wave equation with dissipation, the nonlinear Burgers equation and nonlinear KdV equations. We split the Lie symmetries of a complex partial differential equation in the real domain and obtain real Lie-like operators. Further, the complex partial differential equation is split into two coupled or uncoupled real partial differential equations which constitute a system of two equations for two real functions of two real variables. The Lie symmetries of this system are constructed by the classical Lie approach. We compare these Lie symmetries with the split Lie-like operators of the given complex partial differential equation for the examples considered. We conclude that the split Lie-like operators of complex partial differential equations are not in general symmetries of the split system of real partial differential equations. We prove a proposition that gives the criteria when the Lie-like operators are symmetries of the split system.

Singular perturbation solution is given for small Reynolds number flow past a spherical liquid drop. The interfacial tension required to maintain the drop in a spherical shape is calculated. When the interfacial tension gradient exceeds a critical value, a region of reversed flow occurs on the interface at the rear and the interior flow splits into two parts with reversed circulation at the rear. The magnitude of the interior fluid velocity is small, of order the Reynolds number. A thin transition layer attached to the drop at the rear occurs in the exterior flow. The effects could model the stagnant cap which forms as surfactant is added but the results apply however the variability in the interfacial tension might have been induced.

Discussed Isothermal unsteady shear flow of polymeric fluids through a horizontal cylindrical pipe arising from constant pressure gradient. Analytical expressions are derived for velocity vector, the stress components for unsteady flow using energetically crosslinked transient network (ECTN) model. In this study, the rates of segment creation and loss formed by physical and energetic interactions are assumed to be constants. We have discussed changes in velocity profile with time till the steady state is reached. The analysis clearly shows that for the specimen data selected the velocity profile depends on the physical parameters Nm and the time required to attain steady state are 2.4 and 3.2 for the 10% and 5% values of the steady state magnitude (of 1.06 x 10^-4) respectively.

In this paper, a shock model for the effect of stress in terms of histamine is studied. Assume that shocks will arrive according to a Poisson process. If the inter arrival time of two successive shocks is less than a threshold, then the effect of leptin in terms of histamine will fail[10]. For a deteriorating stress, we assume that the successive threshold values are geometrically non decreasing after suppression food intake by given dosage of leptin in terms of histamine and the consecutive recoup times after food intake failure form an increasing geometric process. To improve food intake, we assume that the successive threshold values are geometrically decreasing after suppression food intake by dosage of leptin interrns of histamine, and the consecutive recoup times after food intake failure form a decreasing geometric process. A change of dosage in Nth shock is adopted by which we shall change the dosage of leptin by an identical new one at the time following the Nth failure. Then for each deteriorating stress and improving food intake, an optimal changes in dosage N* for minimizing the long-run average dosage per unit time is determined explicitty.

Analysis is performed to study the heat transfer characteristics of unsteady MHD laminar free convective boundary layer flow over a porous vertical plate, when the unsteadiness in the flow is caused due to sudden change in the temperature difference between plate and ambient fluid. The effect of uniform suction and injection is numerically studied by employing an implicit finite - difference scheme along with the quasilinearization technique. Results indicate that the skin friction and heat transfer parameters are strongly affected by initial time dependent flow as well as magnetic field. In fact, both skin friction and heat transfer parameters decrease in the case of suction as well as injection. The velocity and temperature fields are significantly affected by the unsteadiness in the flow.

In this paper an attempt has been made to solve thermoelastic problem of a solid cylinder, in which sources are generated according to linear function of the temperature occupying the space D:{(x, y, z)∈R³ : 0 ≤ (x² + y²)^1/2 -h ≤ z ≤ h} where r = (x² + y²)^1/2 with radiation type boundary conditions by applying integral transform techniques. The results are obtained in terms of Bessel's functions in the form of infinite series. Numerical results are carried out for a particular case of a circular solid cylinder made of Allumineum metal and the results depicted graphically.

The two dimensional problem of free convective MHD flow of a visco-elastic fluid in porous medium confined between two long vertical wavy walls has been studied under the assumption that the wave lengths of the wavy walls are large. The amplitudes of the two wavy walls considered are different. A uniform magnetic field is assumed to be applied perpendicular to the walls in the absence of waviness. The governing equations have been solved by using regular perturbation technique, taking λ as the perturbation parameter, where λ is inversly proportional to the wavelength. The analytical expressions for dimensionless velocity, temperature and shearing stress at both the walls have been obtained and these results have been numerically worked out for different values of parameters involved in the solution. The behaviours of dimensionless shearing stresses at the channel walls are presented in tabular forms to observe the effects of visco-elastic parameter. The influence of visco-elastic parameters on the velocity field has been presented graphically.

The temperature field at different horizontal and vertical levels is obtained and their behavior is investigated for variations in the governing parameters.

In this paper, we establish exact solutions for some special nonlinear partial differential equations. The (G'/G)-expansion method is used to construct travelling wave solutions of the two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation, Dodd-Bullough-Mikhailov and Schrodinger-KdV equations, which appear in many fields such as, solid-state physics, nonlinear optics, fluid dynamics, fluid flow, quantum field theory, electromagnetic waves and so on. In this method we take the advantage of general solutions of second-order linear ordinary differential equation (LODE) to solve many nonlinear evolution equations effectively. The (G'/G)-expansion method is direct, concise and elementary and can be used with a wider applicability for handling many nonlinear wave equations.
