The model also avoids hierarchy problem. We have investigated the W pair production at ILC to study the littlest Higgs model using different observables. Specifically, polarization fraction of W boson is expected to be measured very accurately at ILC. We use this to put limit on the scale parameter, f, in the model.

These patterns may be reflected in direct RPV decays of the lighter top squark or in the RPV decays of the lightest superparticle, assumed to be the lightest neutralino. Typical signal sizes at the Tevatron RUN II and the LHC have been estimated and the results turn out to be encouraging.

An attempt has been made in the present work to combine gel and composite polymer electrolyte routes together to form a composite polymeric gel electrolyte that is expected to possess high ionic conductivity with good mechanical integrity. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) based composite gel electrolytes using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as guest polymer have been synthesized with 1 molar solution of ammonium thiocyanate (NEUSCN) in dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) and electrically characterized. The ionic conductivity measurements indicate that PEG : PVA : NH4SCN-based composite gel electrolytes are superior (σ_max = 5.7 x 10^-2 S cm^-1) to pristine electrolytes (PEG : NH₄SCN system) and conductivity variation with filler concentration remains within an order of magnitude. The observed conductivity maxima have been correlated to PEG : PVA: NH₄SCN- and PVA : NH₄SCN-type complexes. Temperature dependence of conductivity profiles exhibits Arrhenius behaviour in low temperature regime followed by VTF character at higher temperature.

This result also shows that -meson can be considered as a two-pion resonance.

The production and decay of scalar top quarks (stops) is particularly interesting for the development of the vertex detector as only two c-quarks and missing energy (from undetected neutralinos) are produced for light stops. Previous studies investigated the vertex detector design in scenarios with large mass differences between stop and neutralino, corresponding to large visible energy in the detector. In this study we investigate the tagging performance dependence on the vertex detector design in a scenario with small visible energy for the international linear collider (ILC).

Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) is one of the important branches of spectroscopy, which enables one to detect light-induced heat production following the absorption of pulsed radiation by the sample. As₂Sa₃, As₂Se₃ and GeSe₂ exhibit a wide variety of photo-induced phenomena that enable them to be used as optical imaging or storage medium and various electronic devices, including electro-optic information storage devices and optical mass memories. Therefore, accurate measurement of thermal properties of semiconducting films is necessary to study the memory density. The thermal conductivity of thin films of As₂S₃ (thickness 100 μm and 80 μm), As₂Se₃ (thickness 100 μrn and 80 μm) and GeSe₂ (thickness 120 μm and 100 μm) has been measured using PAS technique. Our result shows that the thermal conductivity of thicker films is larger than the thinner films. This can be explained by the thermal resistance effect between the film and the surface of the substrate.

Authors consider a possibility that electroweak symmetry breaking (EWSB) is triggered by both a fundamental Higgs and a composite Higgs arising in a dynamical symmetry breaking mechanism induced by a new strong dynamics. The resulting Higgs sector is a partially composite two-Higgs doublet model with specific boundary conditions on the coupling and mass parameters originating at a compositeness scale A. The phenomenology of this model is discussed including the collider phenomenology at LHC and ILC.

The coupled-wave equations describing optical parametric amplification (OPA) are usually solved in the slowly varying amplitude (SVA) approximation regime, in which the second-order derivatives of the signal and idler amplitudes are ignored and in fart the electromagnetic effects clue to exit face of the medium is not involved. Here, an analytical plane-wave solution of these coupled-wave equations in a non-absorbing medium is presented. The solutions are derived beyond the SVA approximation up to order of k/k (coupling constant over the wave number). The intensity distributions of the signal and the idler waves show a periodic behavior about their corresponding distributions of SVA-adapted solution. This behavior can be explained by the interference of the forward propagating signal (idler) wave and the corresponding backward one resulted from the reflection by the end face of the medium. Furthermore, this interference pattern in the medium can in turn serve as a periodic source for the next generations of the signal and idler waves. Therefore, the superposition of the waves, generated from different points of this periodic source, at the exit face of the medium shows an oscillatory behavior of the transmitted signal (idler) wave in terms of normalized coupling constant, kL. This study also shows that this effect is more considerable for high intensity pump beam, high relative refractive index and short length of the nonlinear medium.

To this aim authors construct polarization asymmetries which can isolate the contribution of a Higgs boson φ in γγ → γγ = τ/t, from that of the QED continuum. This can help in getting information on the γγφ coupling in case φ is a CP eigenstate. Constructed CP-violating asymmetries which can probe CP mixing in case φ has indeterminate CP. The MSSM with CP violation as an example was provided to demonstrate the potential of these asymmetries in a numerical analysis. It was found that these asymmetries are sensitive to the presence of a Higgs boson as well as its CP properties over a wide range of MSSM parameters.

Performed a detailed study of the power losses in the post-collision extraction line of a TeV e⁺e^- collider with a crossing angle of 20 mrad at the interaction point. Five cases were considered: four luminosity configurations for ILC and one for CLIC. For all of them, the strong beam-beam effects at the interaction point lead to an emittance growth for the outgoing beam, as well as to the production of beamstrahlung photons and e⁺e^- coherent pairs. The power losses along the extraction line, which are due to energy deposition by a fraction of the disrupted beam, of the beamstrahlung photons and of the coherent pairs, were estimated in the case of ideal collisions, as well as with a vertical position or angular offset at the interaction point.

In contrast, the standard Debye-Huckel potential φ_D(r) applicable to unbounded plasma has the strange features that the Gauss law cannot be obeyed at the plasma's edge, total ionic numbers themselves are altered, the short-distance Coulomb behaviour has to be imposed by hand, and induced charge appearance at the surface cannot be built-in.

The Hartree-Bogoliubov (HB) framework of calculations has been applied for calculating various nuclear structure quantities for ^154-166Dy mass chains. In this framework, the intrinsic quadrupole moments, the low-lying yrast states (E⁺₂ and E⁺₄) and occupation numbers for various shell model orbits have been obtained. The calculated results indicate that the observed onset of deformation in going from ¹⁵⁴Dy to ¹⁶⁶Dy arises due to enhanced occupation of (h_11/2)_π orbit, increased polarization of (d_5/2)_π orbit and increase in the occupation of down-slopping 'k' components of (i_13/2)_v and (h_9/2)_v orbits.

Present computed results are marginally improved in some cases from the previous computed results. Present results are compared with measured values and with previous computation results. Some other theoretical computational results are also presented here for comparison.

Addresses the curious problem of quadratic Zeeman effect at the classical mechanical level. The problem has been very well understood for decades, but an analytical solution of the equations of motion is still to be found. This state of affairs persists because the simultaneous presence of the Coulombic and quadratic terms lowers the dynamical symmetry. Energy and orbital angular momentum are still constants of motion. It is find the exact solutions by introducing the concept of an image ellipse. The quadratic effect leads to a dilation of space-time, and a one-to-one correspondence is observed for pairs of physical quantities like energy and angular momentum, and the maximum and minimum distances from the Coulomb center for the Zeeman orbit and the corresponding pairs for the image ellipse. Thus, instead of finding additional conserved quantities, we find constants of motion for an additional dynamics, namely, the image problem. The trajectory is open, in agreement with Bertrand's theorem, but necessarily bound. A stable unbound trajectory does not exist for real values of energy and angular momentum. The radial distance, the angle covered in the plane of the orbit, and the time are uniquely determined by introducing further the concept of an image circle. While the radial distance is defined in a closed form as a transcendental function of the imaee-circular angle.

Assuming the free stream velocity to be uniform, approximate solutions are obtained for the velocity field, the temperature field, concentration distribution, the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer. The effects of the flow parameters on the flow field are studied with the help of figures.

The pair creation of these new particles at the multi-TeV e⁺e^- compact linear collider (CLIC), followed by decays into standard model particles, were simulated along with the corresponding background. High-energy beam-beam effects such as ISR, beamstrahlung and hadronic background were included. We have investigated the possibility of using the ratio between the number of events found in various decay channels to determine the MSSM parameter tan/3 and we have derived the corresponding statistical error from the uncertainties on the measured.

Examineed the sensitivity of a linear collider to the couplings of a light Higgs boson to a pair of gauge bosons, including the possibility of CP violation. Constructed several observables that probe the various possible anomalous couplings. For an intermediate mass Higgs, a collider operating at a center of mass energy of 500 GeV and with an integrated luminosity of 500 fb^-1 is shown to be able to constrain the ZZH vertex at the few per cent level, with even higher sensitivity for some of the couplings. However, lack of sufficient number of observables as well as contamination from the ZZH vertex limits the precision to which anomalous part of the WWH coupling can be probed.

Consider the UED scenario and study the detectability of the first KK electron-positron pair at the ILC. A few hundred GeV KK electron decays into a nearly degenerate KK photon, which carries away missing energy, and the standard electron. The mass splitting between the KK electron and KK photon is controlled by the bulk- and brane-induced radiative corrections. We look for the signal event e⁺e^- large missing energy for √s = 1 TeV and observe that with a few hundred fb^- luminosity the signal can be deciphered from the standard model background. We briefly outline how the UED signals may be distinguished from the supersymmetric signals.

A new QCD calculation is summarized for the transverse momentum distribution of photon pairs produced by QCD subprocesses, including all-orders soft-gluon re-summation valid at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. Resummation is needed to obtain reliable predictions in the range of transverse momentum where the cross-section is the largest. Results are compared with data from the Fermilab Tevatron and predictions are made for the large hadron collider. The QCD continuum is shown to have a softer spectrum than the Higgs boson signal at the LHC.
