The fundamental properties and structural characteristics of these concepts are then studied and discussed. The relationship between the concepts introduced here and the corresponding concepts in soft ring theory and classical ring theory are investigated. Lastly, we prove that the vague soft ring homomorphism introduced here preserves vague soft rings.

The exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) control chart is one of efficient tools of SPC which widely used in several applications such as electronics, electricity industries and in other areas. There are many processes that the observations are correlated, such as chemical process. The measure of operation used is the average run length (ARL). The main aim of this paper is to derive analytical solution for ARL of EWMA control chart for autoregressive with explanatory variable (ARX(p)) with exponential white noise. Checking the accuracy of results, the result obtained from exact expressions with numerical integral equation by Gauss-Legendre rule is compared. An excellent accession between the exact expressions and numerical solutions was found. This fact is an additional indication that the exact expressions are sufficiently high accuracy.

A procedure of finding the optimal solution using the golden section search is developed and a numerical example using the Mathematica program 8.0 is given to illustrate the results. The results show that the golden section search obtains the optimum solution of the problem.

The Markov chain approach is used to derive closed-form expression of average run length (ARL) for generally weighted moving average control chart (GWMA) when observations are from zero-inflated binomial model in order to detect a change in parameter. The numerical results accuracy of proposed closed-forms is guaranteed the numerical results obtained from Monte Carlo simulation (MC). The results found that the numerical results obtained from MCA are as excellent as the results obtained from MC but MCA is very time saving. Furthermore, the performance of GWMA is compared with the EWMA control chart in terms of quickest detection of a change in parameter defined as out-of-control average run length (ARL1). The performance of GWMA chart is superior to EWMA chart when magnitudes of change are small (δ ≤ 0.20).

In this paper, we consider the integrated vendor-buyer system with imperfect quality and random number of defective item. We consider the assumption that shortages are allowed and lead time distribution is unknown, except first and two moments. We introduce some additional assumption such as error in inspection process and the occurrence of defective item by bad transportation process. In reality, the screening process at the buyer's side is not always 100% perfect, error may occur when the inspector at the buyer's side misclassifies a non-defective item as defective or incorrectly classifies a defective item as non-defective. Furthermore, a non-defective item may become defective due to some problem during transportation process from the vendor to the buyer with certain probability rate. Based on the assumptions above, we get continuous probabilistic integrated inventory, model with single vendor, single buyer and single product. The objective is to minimize the joint total cost incurred by the vendor and the buyer with JIT (Just-in-Time) concept to get the optimum quantity order and also optimal number of shipments per production run. We use numerical example and sensitivity experiment to compare the analytic result.

The aim of this paper is to present the necessary and sufficient conditions for the emergence of a generalized Hopf (i.e., Bautin) bifurcation in the modified version of the Romer [13] model of endogenous technical change with complementarity of intermediate goods, and determine the region of parameters where multiple attracting and repelling limit cycles around the steady-state may coexist. Interestingly, we show that a stable region of parameters exist where an unstable limit cycle is surrounded by a stable one; that is, the flow dynamic of the vector field returns to the stationary point for small disturbances though it becomes unstable, and exhibits persistent fluctuations, for larger parameter shocks.

Nonlinear conjugate gradient methods are significant for solving large-scale unconstrained optimization problems. Several studies and modifications have been carried out to improve this method. The strong Wolfe line search is usually used in practice for analyzing and implementing conjugate gradient methods. In this paper, a little modification to conjugate descent method was presented for unconstrained optimization. The proposed method satisfies the descent condition and the famous D-L conjugacy condition. Furthermore, the sufficient decent condition and global convergence result are established using strong Wolfe line search. Numerical result shows that this formula of conjugate gradient is more robust and effective.

Nonlinear conjugate gradient (CG) methods are widely used for solving large-scale unconstrained optimization problems. Many works have tried to improve this method. It requires simplicity and low memory in numerical computation. The exact line search is used for analyzing and implementing CG methods. In this paper, a class of conjugate gradient methods possessing global convergence properties is presented. The global convergence and sufficient descent property are established using exact line searches. Numerical result demonstrated that the new formula of conjugate gradient method is superior and robust as compared to other CG coefficients.

This study presents a comparative analysis to select the most appropriate job scheduling technique for a single shop manufacturing process using a classical deterministic job-scheduling problem as a case study. First Come First Serve (FCFS), Earliest Due Date First (EDD), Shortest Processing Time Goes First (SPT), and Critical Ratio (CR) methods are compared to determinethe best fitting queuing technique for the case study. The comparative analysis is carried out through a Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) process; where, Equal Weights Method, Decision Maker Weight Assessment Method, and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) are employed to account for the uncertainties that are a part of the decision making process. The effect of different weight assessment techniques in the MCDM process, and the selection of the scheduling technique is demonstrated through a single shop case study. This paper addresses the challenges regarding the on time delivery and provides a comparative MCDM analysis of a classic deterministic jobscheduling problem.

The velocity profile has been studied for different parameters like Hartmann number, Prandtl number, Thermal Grashof number and time. The effects of variable parameters to the velocity are discussed graphically and the numerical values obtained for skin-friction has been tabulated.

The Present paper aims significantly analyses the effect of transient hydro magnetic Coutte flow and heat transfer of an incompressible electrically conducting viscous fluid through a porous medium between two infinitely long horizontal parallel plates when upper plate is allowed to move in the presence of uniform transverse magnetic fluid normal to the plates whereas lower plate kept at rest taking injections/suction into account. The channel rotates about an axis perpendicular to the plates of the channel. The non-dimensional governing the transient momentum equation and the energy equation are solved analytically by applying the perturbation technique. The effect of various physical pertinent parameters is discussed on the flow field, the temperature profile numerically and presented by figures. The thermal slip at the lower plate is taken in account. The effect of Skin friction and rate of heat transfer in terms of Nusselt number is shown by tables. Our results reveal that the combined effects of magnetic field (M), rotation parameter (O), Prandtl number (Pr), permeability (Kp), injection/suction (Re), heat generation/absorption (S) and thermal slip have significant impact on the hydromagnetic flow and heat transfer. The Problem is very much significant in view of its several engineering, geophysical and industrial applications.

This paper deals with proposing an algorithm that can solve DLP in polynomial time in certain groups. It is an extension to the general algorithm proposed by Douglas Long and AviWigderson in their paper "How Discreet is the Discrete Log?", except that the main algorithm proposed in this paper works without needing to find any square roots. The first algorithm proposed is a general purpose algorithm, and solves DLP in the general case, but no method has been located to be able to employ that. The second algorithm solves DLP in specific groups, particularly modulo Fermat Prime or Psuedo Fermat Prime groups. This has been discussed in detail, and can be used readily. It may also be used to reveal a certain number of bits of the exponent in other groups. The exponent-construction based algorithm may also find uses in solving DLP in other groups as well, by checking the coprimality of the exponent (and various functions of the exponent) against the factors of N-1. All exponentiations done in relation to the generator are modular. This does not apply to exponentiation of 2 to define the group size, or the complexity analysis.

In this paper, we present a new method involving Newton's method (NM) for estimating polynomial zeros simultaneously. The interval repeated single-step procedure (IRTSS1) is a modification to the existing methods IRSS1 and ITSS1. As a result, this method is proven to have a rate of convergence of at least 2r + 2, where r ≥1, compared to those of ITSS1 and IRSS1 which converge to at least four and 2r + 1, respectively.

This paper focuses on the effects of chemical reaction and radiation absorption on unsteady hydromagnetic free convection flow of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid with heat and mass transfer past a moving porous vertical plate of infinite length with time dependent suction and constant mass flux in the presence of heat source in a slip flow regime. Slip flow conditions for the velocity and jump in temperature are taken into account in the boundary conditions. A uniform transverse magnetic field is applied. The free stream velocity is considered to follow an exponentially small perturbation law. The governing equations for this investigation are formulated and solved using perturbation technique. Non-dimensional velocity, temperature, concentration, skin friction and dimensionless rate of heat transfer at the plate are discussed through graphs for different values of parameters entering into the problem.

Here we show that although there exist prime ideals which are not maximal, the zero set is again a singleton. In particular, each prime ideal is contained in a unique maximal ideal.

The paper considers three extremum problems related to Morley's theorem. One of the problems deals with searching which triangle with given circumradius has its Morley triangle of maximal area. The second one is devoted to the research of maximal ratio of the area of Morley triangle to the area of its original triangle. The third problem considers a question similar to the previous one for a triangle where one of its angles is given. In the paper, it is proved that in the first two cases the answer is an equilateral triangle and in the third one the answer depends on the value of the given angle.
